Established in 1978, the Hotel and Restaurant Industry Employment & Training Trust (HARIETT) helps provide existing and future UNITE HERE! Local 5 members who are attached to signatory employers with a way to acquire and retain the skills necessary to gain employment or advance their careers in Hawaii’s hotel and restaurant industry.
The HARIETT program helps members with career planning, training, retraining, and other benefits—most of which are available at no cost to the employee.

Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust
Our national bargaining agreement with Kaiser Permanente gives our members who work at Kaiser access to the Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust, which supports programs that cater to the career development of Kaiser employees. This includes career coaching, tuition assistance and reimbursement, and more.
