  1. When is the strike?
    The strike begins on October 14th at 6:30am and ends on Sunday, October 19th at 7am.
  2. Where are the picket lines?
    There will be 5 picket lines on Oahu, 2 on Maui, 2 on Hawai‘i Island, and 1 on Kauai. Only the Moanalua picket line will be open on Saturday. If your facility does not have a line or is closed, you can pick any other line to participate at.
    Oahu
    Moanalua: 6:30am-9pm
    Honolulu: 7:30am-8pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Mapunapuna: 7:30am-5pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Waipio: 7:30am-5pm (Closed on Saturday)
    West Oahu: 7:30am-8pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Maui
    Maui Lani: 7:30am-8pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Wailuku: 7:30am-5pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Hawaii Island
    Hilo: 7:30am-5pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Kona: 7:30am-5pm (Closed on Saturday)
    Kauai
    Lihue: 7:30am-12:30pm (Closed on Saturday)
  1. How do I qualify for strike benefits?
    • Participation must include four (4) days
    • 20 hours-24 hours and 59 minutes = $300
    • 25 hours or more= $400
    • You can do more than 5 hours/day
    • You can go to other sites that have extended hours to add hours
    • There is no pro-ration
    • You will sign in/out using your strike benefit card and will be able to track your total hours.
  1. Where can I park?
    Parking will be limited, but we continue to look for possible parking options. Strikers are encouraged to carpool or have friends/family drop you off and pick you up. Please check back for further updates.
  2. Are there restrooms?
    Strikers will have access to porta potties at every line except for West Oahu.
  3. Will food and water be provided?
    The Union will provide water and refreshments, light food.
