Hi my name is [first and last name]. I live in [neighborhood] and I’m calling to ask and request the Mayor look into introducing and supporting legislation that would support hotel workers like me.
In cities like Baltimore, San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco – local ordinances have already been passed that would ensure for a fair process for workers to return to the jobs they once had as business returns.
I believe that the same employees who worked at hotels before the shutdown should be the ones brought back by length of service first, but we know that won’t happen unless our county makes it so.
Right now, Honolulu, Tacoma & Philadelphia are considering worker recall legislation and I think we should do the same here.
