Tropics server successfully fights erroneous disciplines

HR misinformed Audrey Adams, a server at Hilton Hawaiian Village’s Tropics, about her rights under FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act).  As a result of HR’s error, Audrey received disciplines for excessive absenteeism.  Audrey filed a grievance with the Contract Enforcement Team and got both the verbal and written disciplines expunged.

Victory! HMS Host workers ratify contract

HMS Host Honolulu Airport workers (who run all of the food & beverage outlets at the airport) ratified their second contract ever with 74% voting yes. In the next 4 years, they will receive $1.90 in wage increases and their medical premiums will be cut in half. Unity is our strength!
