Hale Nani Strike: Finale

DSC_0096Hale Nani Rehabilitation & Nursing Center workers finished strong and are coming out of this strike more united and powerful than ever!

They delegated the American Healthcare Association and met with George Green (President & CEO) and Andrew Garret (Associate Vice President). They talked about why they’re on strike and the four unfair labor practice charges filed against Avalon Health Care Group for intimidating, surveilling, and terminating union supporters who are standing up for better patient care.

Then they rallied in Waikiki with their Local 5 brothers & sisters who work in the hotels and Kaiser Permanente and supportive members of the community, like the Hawaii Nurses Association and Rep. Matt LoPresti.
