Announcement to Unite Here Local 5 Kaiser Bargaining Unit Members

KP Compensation has provided the attached methodology regarding the 2% lump sum. (2024 Alliance Lump Sum Details)

We have reviewed this document, and it appears consistent with past practice from the 2023 lump sum, which in turn mirrored how the lump sum was paid in 2019 as well.

As we did last year, we urged KP to increase the Across-The-Board (ATB) this year due to inflation, labor shortages, and morale concerns. Unfortunately, it seems they are deferring these issues to next year’s negotiations. It’s disappointing that KP is so shortsighted in responding to the staffing crisis, but this will only intensify our members’ determination in next year’s bargaining.
