The hotel beds are too low and heavy, causing back pain that they suffer through every day. Waithelp at Hilton Hawaiian Village wins backpay

2016.02.18 HHV Derek NogamiDerek Nogami, a waithelp at Hilton Hawaiian Village, filed a grievance with the Contract Enforcement Team because the Employer failed to schedule him by seniority. The Hotel agreed to pay him 8 hours of backpay.

Hilton Hawaiian Village GSA gets suspension reduced

2016.02.18 HHV Dionna YorkDionna York, a guest service agent at Hilton Hawaiian Village, filed a grievance with the Contract Enforcement Team after her Employer suspended her for 10 days in October. She got her suspension reduced to a verbal warning and received backpay. Congratulations!

It’s been one month since 21 Local 5 leaders took a leave of absence for one week to talk to their coworkers about our plan to win in 2018. Since then, they’ve been continuing to host coffee hours to engage more of their coworkers about our 2018 plan. Awesome job, everyone! ‪#‎WorkersLead‬

Since then, Lorilynn held her first investigative meeting and asked all the right questions. She said the training helped her a lot. Great work!
