KP Local 5 members: By now you should have received your 6.5% wage increase. According to Kaiser’s communication to the Union, it was supposed to have arrived on June 26th, with a retro amount going back to March 15th, following a few weeks later. It has been brought to our attention that some members received their wage increase before June 26th , with some getting the retroactive amount early as well, while others got just the wage increase. This confusion was caused solely by Kaiser for not following the schedule they presented to the Union.
Reports by members in the Hawaii region and in California include
- Incorrect retroactive pay amounts or incorrect calculation of hours
- Missing or incorrect payment dates
- Retroactive pay that was calculated from the wrong start date instead of the required date of March 15, 2026
We encourage everyone to review their check(s) carefully. Make sure that the wage increases and retroactive calculation was applied to all compensable hours. You have the right to ask for a breakdown from the company to verify it was done correctly and that you receive all the money you fought for in contract bargaining. Please connect with your Union organizer if you need assistance.
