Another week of victories for Kaiser workers
Aloha ‘Āina Unity March
Over 10,000 people marched through Waikiki to stand in unity to protect our ʻāina. AiKea was there, with Kaiser workers and our youth, to stand up for our island and people of Hawai’i. This march is also timely to educate the astronomers in town visiting as the battle over Mauna Kea and other development issues on our islands continue.
Worker Action Coming Up
We have some exciting actions on Maui as Kaiser bids for Maui Memorial—if Kaiser succeeds it would create a healthcare monopoly
on Maui. This could be costly for the community. Our Maui Kaiser team will be there to inform the public and send a message —Kaiser fix it first. For more information or to sign the petition, visit KaiserDeprives.org.
Kaiser Mapunapuna Clinic Workers Stand Up For Patient Care!
Without a contract for over 3 years, increased workload, decreased patient care, Kaiser workers picketed outside Mapunapuna clinic. Next clinic action Thursday Aug 13th 4:30—6 pm at Kailua. We need to let Kaiser know workers are united and want a fair contract now!
Kaiser’s Heart Walk Skips a Beat
Walkers in Saturday’s American Heart Walk refreshed with a cup of juice & signed our petition to stop Kaiser’s medical monopoly on Maui. For more information or to sign the petition, visit KaiserDeprives.org.
