Hyatt Regency Waikiki housekeeper wins back pay after management mistake

Melvin, a housekeeper from Hyatt Regency Waikiki, was supposed to attend a scheduled orientation to return to work. However, the housekeeping department failed to notify the other housekeepers. Melvin pushed back on housekeeping management. Hyatt agreed to reschedule and pay for wasting his time.

Baltazar, a laundry attendant from Sheraton Waikiki demanded management to add more laundry attendants and address workload and safety issues. After the daily push to the management, they brought back another worker to the department. Great job Baltazar!

Rayline, a guest service agent from Hilton Grand Vacations at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, filed a grievance with the help of Local 5 after Hilton failed to offer work opportunity by seniority. She successfully won back pay, credits to vacation and sick leave, and contributions to health and welfare.

Sheraton houseman gets reinstated after wrongful termination
