Royal Hawaiian worker fights for scheduling, workload

2016-10-24-royal-hawaiian-kekoa-caseria-copyKekoa Caseria has worked at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel for 16 years. Since 2009, Kekoa has tirelessly fought to have Sunday/Monday Days Off. With the help of the Contract Enforcement Team (CET), effective October 20, 2016 Kekoa was finally awarded his Preferred Days Off. Kekoa also won Back Pay of 4.75 hours for a 2014 grievance. Most recently, CET filed a grievance on Kekoa’s behalf in September 2016 to challenge unreasonable staff levels and workload. The company hired workers to resolve the grievance. #WorkersLead
