United Catering Joins L5 & Picket Lines. Yesterday at 8:15am, 140 Honolulu United Airlines catering workers learned that they won their election to be Local 5 Union members. After the results came in, they joined the picket lines at Sheraton, Royal, Moana, and Princess Kaiulani. Their election was part of a national election that brings 2,700 United catering workers into our Union.
One Job Relay Wrap. On Monday, the Relay for One Job finished its last leg by taking over the Kalakaua/Royal Hawaiian Ave. intersection. Hundreds of strikers demonstrated at the intersection showing the commitment and unity between workers at all of the properties.
Picketing at PWC. Yesterday, strikers picketed the headquarters of PWC who has been supplying replacement workers at the striking hotels. GET READY!! We are extending our fight to other businesses on Oahu and Maui.
