One Day Longer, One Day Stronger! LINES ARE ROCKING!: Our lines are rocking with dance groups, new chants, drum circles, and more!! When you’re participating in strike support, join your co-workers. Show your talent, show your rhythm, show your strength. These are your lines!
POLITICAL SUPPORT: Our lines got tons of support from our politicians. Former Governor Neil Abercrombie picketed with us at Sheraton Waikiki. U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard marched with our strikers to the beach and showed her support for our One Job Should Be Enough campaign. The Hawaii Alliance for Progressive Action (HAPA) brought every line breakfast burritos! Former HSTA secretary treasurer & State Rep. candidate Amy Perruso also picketed with us. Nancy Kreidman from the Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) donated food to each of our picket lines. They know that our fight is about defending our entire community!
PREPARING FOR BARGAINING: Waikiki Committee leaders will meet Wednesday to prepare for negotiations and decide the top priorities. Meeting is 2pm-4pm. Location TBD.
STRIKE BENEFITS: On your strike benefits check issued this week, you will have $400.
